Martinez averaged 24 points, eight rebounds and four assists for the Gaels,
beginning with a 17 point, nine rebound game against Marist. Against Rider, Martinez scored 31 points, her
third career 30-point effort, pulled down seven rebounds and dished out a
career high seven assists. Martinez
knocked down 14 of her 19 shot attempts, shooting a clip of 73.7%. In four career games against the Broncs,
Martinez is averaging 25.3 points and three assists per contest.
Rookie of the Week
Joy Adams, Iona, Freshman, Forward, 5-11, Orlando, FL / Evans
Joy Adams averaged 11.5 points, 10 rebounds and
1.5 steals for the Gaels in two games this past week. Against Marist, Adams scored seven points,
seven rebounds and three steals against the Red Foxes. Against Rider, Adams collected her ninth
double-double of the season, scoring 16 points and grabbing 13 rebounds,
including four off the offensive glass in the Gaels' 30 point win over the
Broncs.
