Clorley and Coleman Earn Indoor Track & Field Performers of the Week

Edison, NJ - Iona College's Daniel Clorley and Rider University's La'tazah Coleman were named MAAC Indoor Track and Field Performers of the Week.

Clorley, a Graduate Student from Luton, England, finished fourth overall in the men's mile championship at the 2013 Armory Collegiate Invitational at the Armory Track & Field Center in New York City. Clorely's time of 4:04.09 was less than two seconds behind the race winner, Stanford's Michael Atchoo (4:02.38). There were 15 athletes in the race field.

Coleman, a freshman from Middletown, Delaware, won three events at their dual meet against The College of New Jersey on Saturday night. She won the 55m dash with a Rider record and ECAC qualifying time of 7.16. Coleman also had the highest jump of the night in the high jump with a height of 1.70m (5'7") which was also a Rider record and qualified for ECACs. She ran on the 4 x 200 relay that placed first in a Rider record time of 1:43.71. Coleman currently leads the MAAC in the 55m, 60m and high jump.

The MAAC Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held on Friday, February 15th at The New Balance Armory Track & Field Center in New York City.
