Edison, NY - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and Phoenix Design Works have created two new MAAC logos branded for incoming members, Monmouth University and Quinnipiac University.

The MAAC logos are designed in the traditional MAAC primary logo mark style, but incorporate the name of each school, their mascot and the institutions' primary and secondary colors.

"As with all the work we do for the MAAC, it's an honor to create and help launch the new logo marks for Quinnipiac & Monmouth for the MAAC," said Jamie Skiles, President and Creative Director at Phoenix Design Works. "Perhaps more than any other aspect of the MAAC branding program, the family of school specific logo marks created for all constituent institutional members of the MAAC, have tremendous meaning and value for both the schools and the Conference. The logo marks combine and exhibit the primary traits of both the school and the Conference brands and tells the world, everywhere they are applied, that we proudly compete together and conduct ourselves in accordance with the rules and goals set forth by both the institutions and the Conference. By making use of these logo marks, we let fans, students, athletes and alumni know that we are united as one in our pursuit of athletic and academic excellence and aspire to represent the best of everything both the institutions and the Conference have to offer. We should all be proud to make use of these logo marks, and let them be an introduction to the wonderful and accomplished athletics programs of Quinnipiac and Monmouth, as well as the proud history and tradition of the MAAC. "

Monmouth and Quinnipiac will join the MAAC following this year's competition in July, 2013. The addition of the two member schools will bring the MAAC to a total of 11 member institutions for the 2013-14 academic year.
