Women’s Varsity Eight
The Robert Morris University Varsity 8 took home the biggest prize at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational in Lewisberry, Pa., outlasting four other boats with a time of 7:18.3 to claim the team title. Trailing the Colonials in the Varsity 8 were Franklin & Marshall (7:27.8), The College of New Jersey (7:58.4), St. Mary’s College of Maryland (8:11.3) and Richard Stockton College (9:03.6). The Varsity 8 boat for Robert Morris featured sophomore Laura Mooradian as the coxswain, senior Jamie Witsch as the bow, junior Megan Coleman, sophomores Brianna Hellier, Kelsey Porter, Julie Miller and Heather Hodges, freshman Caitlin Ryan and sophomore Kristin Fay as the stroke.
