Kuchta combined for six wins between singles and doubles
action last week as the Greyhounds opened their spring season with a trio of
victories. Kuchta did not lose a set in singles action for Loyola, defeating
Reginald Robinson of Coppin State, 6-4, 6-1, Taylor Boyle of Shepherd, 6-4,
6-2, and Ondre Cargill of Morgan State, 6-0, 7-6 (2). He also paired with
teammate Greg Olesnycky to win three doubles matches, losing only 11 points in
the three matches.

Freshman Sarah Hellstern won both of her singles matches
over the weekend to remain undefeated in her career. Hellstern cruised to a 6-1,
6-1 win over Brianna Turano of Manhattan in No. 3 singles on Saturday and
defeated IPFW's Kristine Lindal, 6-2, 6-1, on Monday to improve to 6-0 on the
season. Hellstern hasn't dropped a set in singles action this season. Hellstern
and her doubles partner Iva Celan split their doubles matches with their win
coming against Manhattan's No. 2 team, 8-4, as the Purple Eagles blanked
conference foe Manhattan 7-0.
