2013 MAAC Women's Basketball Championship Set to Start Tomorrow

The
2013 MAAC Women's Basketball Championship begins Thursday, March 7 with two first round contests at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Mass.
Canisius (11-18, 8-10 MAAC) and Saint Peter's (2-27, 2-16
MAAC) will get things started at noon. Canisius won the first game against
the Peacocks (62-52) in Jersey City, N.J., but the Peacocks took home a win five weeks later, besting the Golden Griffs 80-76 at the Koessler Athletic Center in Buffalo N.Y.
Loyola (12-17, 7-11 MAAC) and Manhattan (7-22, 4-14 MAAC) will
meet
in the second game of the day scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Manhattan took the
first regular season game back on Jan. 18 with a 62-50 win at Draddy Gymnasium in the Bronx, N.Y. In their second meeting, Loyola won on Feb. 15 with a 54-34 score at Reitz Arena in Baltimore, Md.
The 2013 MAAC Basketball Postseason Awards Show will follow the two
games with a scheduled start time of 6:30 p.m. The program will be broadcast live on MAAC.TV.
