Bob Adams to be Presented with Distinguished Service Award

Edison, N.J. – Long time Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference referee, Bob Adams, will be presented with the Distinguished Service Award by the Met Basketball Writers Association at the 80th All Met Haggerty Awards Dinner on April 15 at the Westchester Marriott.
Adams, a native of Carle Place, N.Y., has been a well-respected basketball official since 1982. A 1976 graduate of Colgate University, Adams earned a degree in Economics and played basketball for the Raiders, earning All ECAC First Team honors as a senior. He played four years professionally in France and secured a law degree from Pace University in 1986.
On the national level, Adams has been called to referee in nine NCAA Tournaments and at the NIT Finals. He is also currently a fulltime arbitrator and mediator with National Arbitration and Mediation Services.
Adams and his wife, Sue, live in White Plains, N.Y. with their three children.
