MAAC Tennis Championships Set for this Weekend

Edison, NJ - The 2013 MAAC Tennis Championships begin this weekend, April 27-28 at Mercer County Park in West Windsor, New Jersey.
The women's semifinal matchup action will take place on Saturday, April 27 between top-seeded Fairfield and fourth-seeded Loyola at 10 a.m. Fairfield ended the season with a record of 6-1 in the MAAC. Loyola clinched the fourth spot in the championship with a record of 4-3 in MAAC play.
Also at 10 a.m. the second-seeded Marist Red Foxes and third-seeded Niagara Purple Eagles compete in the second semifinal matchup. Marist and Niagara both ended the regular season with 6-1 records in MAAC play.
The first men's semifinal matchup is also on Saturday, April 27 between top-seeded Marist and fourth-seeded Loyola at 2 p.m. Marist won the 2013 MAAC Men’s regular Season title with a perfect 6-0 record. Loyola finished 3-3 in MAAC play.
Second-seeded Fairfield and third-seeded Niagara will vie for a place in the MAAC Championship match in the second semifinal matchup also at 2 p.m. Fairfield ended the season 5-1 in the MAAC while Niagara finished with a MAAC record of 4-2.
The championship matches will take place on Sunday, April 28 between the winners of the semifinal matches.
The joint MAAC Tennis and Rowing Awards Show will take place on Friday, April 26 at 6 p.m. and is free to viewers on MAAC.TV.
