MAAC Men’s Player of the Week

George Tioutine went 5-2 in the Stags’ four matches in the past week. The sophomore went 2-0 against Marist College at No. 3 doubles and No. 2 singles. In doubles play, Tioutine paired with Kremheller to defeat the duo of Rossi/Van Eck of the Red Foxes, 8-5. He finished the day with a victory over Dalen Klassen in the two spot, 6-3, 6-3. Tioutine tallied wins in each of his remaining three No. 2 singles matches versus Hartford, Siena, and Stony Brook, and all in two straight sets. Against Hartford’s Neves, Tioutine came out on top, 6-3, 6-3, followed by a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Dylan Roberts of the Siena Saints. He finished the week by edging Knudtzon from Stony Brook, 6-3, 7-5.His singles record improved to 12-6 on the season and the Stag remains undefeated in conference play. Tioutine leads the team with a five match win streak and has gone 8-2 in his last ten singles matches.
MAAC Women’s Player of the Week
KELSEY RAYNOR, MARIST

Raynor was the Red Foxes’ leading performer as the team went 3-0 for the week on their way to a share of the MAAC Regular Season Championship. In all three of her first singles competitions, the senior defeated her opponents in straight sets, including dropping just one point versus Niagara’s Hilary Hansen in a 6-1, 6-0 win and two points against Siena’s Brittany Filip in a 6-0, 6-2 result. Raynor augmented her win total with a pair of victories in doubles as she partnered with Sabrina Tahir to defeat teams from Saint Peter’s and Niagara.
