McGovern, Stoicev Win Weekly MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Awards

Edison, NJ – Manhattan College’s Brian McGovern and Milena Stoicev were named the Performers of the Week.
McGovern, a Senior from Yonkers, New York, leaped 5.00 meters (16 feet, 4¾ inches) to easily win the pole vault competition and help Manhattan capture the team title at the Roadrunner Invitational on Saturday. It was his second jump of at least 5.00 m in two meets this outdoor season.
Stoicev, a Sophomore from Nis, Serbia, captured first place in the 1500 meters at the Roadrunner Invitational on Saturday. She notched a time of 4:40.05 to win the event by more than a second.
The MAAC Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held on Sunday, May 5th at Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
