McLeod Winner Burak Bound for NCAA Regional in Baton Rouge

Edison, NJ - Fairfield junior Steve Burak will head south to compete in regional play at the NCAA Golf Championship later this month. Seedings and regions were announced Monday evening, and Burak will compete at the University Club of Baton Rouge in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on May 16-18.
Burak took the individual title at the 2013 MAAC Men's Golf Championshio after becoming the first golfer in league history to card two rounds in the 60's in the championship. He was under par in all three rounds of the championship, shooting 69-71-68 with his best score of the weekend a -4.
The junior is the number nine seed at the regional, one of six in the country. The top finishers will advance to the final round of the NCAA Championship, which begins May 28 at the Capital City Club, Crabapple Course in Atlanta, Georgia.
