Firestine Named Director of New Media At MAAC

EDISON, NJ – Kyle Firestine has been named Director of New Media for Video at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), it was announced today by Commissioner Richard J. Ensor, Esq.
“The MAAC welcomes Kyle Firestine to the league as he initiates the transition of the MAAC weekly awards, championship previews and other traditional print media into a broadcast format that will be presented weekly on MAAC.TV,” Ensor noted. “The ‘This Week in MAAC Soccer’ or ‘The MAAC Swimming & Diving Championships Preview Show’ will continue the development of video as the means of presenting MAAC messaging to the conference’s fans, student-athletes, coaches and families as the league continues to invest in digital programming.”
Firestine joins the MAAC’s New Media staff with extensive experience in a number of areas of successful video production, including shooting, editing, graphics, pre- and post- production, and managing and processing highlights.
Firestine comes to the MAAC from MLB.com’s Advanced Media division, where he was an assistant producer/top play supervisor. He was responsible for producing content for the online show “Yahoo.com Full Count,” which included shooting, collecting and editing footage, and creating graphics. Firestine had served for a year as production assistant before moving into his role as assistant producer.
Firestine also has experience with the legendary “NFL Films” organization, and with the Trenton Thunder baseball team. While with the Thunder, the New York Yankees’ Double A minor league affiliate, Firestine helped facilitate multi-camera web-casts for 40-plus games, streamed online broadcasts of home games and produced instant replays.
Firestine is a graduate of Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in electronic media, with a minor in journalism. He is a resident of Kendall Park.
