Needham Named ECAC "Offensive Player of the Week"

EDISON, NJ – Siena College sophomore Matt Needham was one of two student-athletes named Division I men’s soccer “Offensive Player of the Week” by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC).
Needham, who was selected by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) as its Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, scored the first two goals of his career in the Saints’ 4-1 win over Saint Joseph’s on Sept. 18. His first goal proved to be the game-winner, and he added an insurance goal in the second half to put the match out of reach.
Needham shares the ECAC honor with Roshan Patel of William & Mary, who scored the deciding goal in OT as the Tribe defeated 24th ranked Elon 1-0 in double OT.
