Buffalo, N.Y. - With the beginning of the new school year, Canisius College student-athletes are again participating in Buffalo's Meals on Wheels program. Four days a week student-athletes from Canisius College deliver nutritious meals in the Buffalo Community to seniors citizens. Each of Canisius' 17 athletic teams will participate in this community service event throughout the school year.
Meals on Wheels in a nationwide program that aims to provide nutritious meals to people in the community that cannot provide meals for themselves on a daily basis. There are about 5,000 Meal on Wheels programs that are run throughout the United States.
