Top Two Women's Basketball Teams Battle for First Place Tonight

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist College (11-4, 5-0 MAAC) women's basketball team hosts Iona College (12-2, 5-0) tonight at 7 p.m. at McCann Arena in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. The Red Foxes and the Gaels are both currently undefeated in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).
The Marist Red Foxes are currently on a 10-game win streak, which includes a win over then-nationally ranked Oklahoma. Marist has has not lost since Nov. 23, 2013 at Ohio State. The Gaels are riding an 11-game winning streak and have not lost since a Nov. 12, 2013 defeat at St. John's.
The last meeting between the two teams was in the 2013 MAAC Championship game, when Marist defeated Iona 72-48.
