LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The Siena men's basketball team paid a visit to the Sister Maureen Joyce Center Monday in Albany where they served lunch as part of the BlueShield of Northeastern New York Saints in the Community program.
"We like to get out in the community and help out as a team because we get a lot of support and it's a chance to give back," sophomore Brett Bisping said. "I enjoy this kind of stuff. It is fun to come out and help and it's part of Siena's mission to help the less fortunate."
The visit was made possible through a partnership with Catholic Charities "feeding our neighbors" program. The partnership will extend to Times Union Center Saturday February 1, when Siena hosts Quinnipiac at 7 p.m. The Saints will celebrate Catholic School Night at the game with special discounted tickets made available to area children.
