EDISON, N.J. - Iona College sophomore forward Joy Adams has been named Corvias ECAC Metro/Upstate Division I Co-Player of the Week.

Adams scored a career high 29 points and pulled down 19 rebounds, her 12th double-double of the season, to help the Gaels to a 95-86 victory over Quinnipiac in their lone contest of the week. The win extended Iona's winning streak to 11 games, the longest in program history. Adams went 10-for-14 (.714) from the field, and knocked down nine shots from the charity stripe in the win. On the glass, Adams grabbed four of her rebounds on the offensive end and 15 on the defensive end. Adams also added two assists and a steal in the victory.

Adams shares the award with sophmore forward Shereesha Richards of University at Albany who averaged 32.0 points and 14.5 rebounds last week.

Adams was also named MAAC Player of the Week on Monday for the second time in the 2013-14 season.
