Manhattan and Canisius have enjoyed a long-standing rivalry, with the Jaspers holding a 49-33 edge in the series that began in the 1909-10 season. This will be the first meeting between the two teams in the 2013-13, with the final contest set for the final day of the regular season, March 2, in Riverdale, N.Y. Canisius and Manhattan are currently in a three-way tie for first place in the MAAC (along with Iona). Manhattan and Canisius split last season, with both teams winning on their home courts.
On the converse, the Monmouth-Fairfield series is a young one that only promises to grow. Monmouth, in its first year in the MAAC, has met Fairfield just twice before, with the Stags holding a 2-0 edge in the series which began in 1994.
