Harris & Marten Receive MAAC Indoor Track & Field Performers of the Week

Edison, N.J. –Saint Peter University's Isaiah Harris and Manhattan College's Bianca Marten have been named this week’s MAAC Indoor Track & Field Male and Female Performer of the Week, for the week of January 20th.
At the Great Dane Classic on Friday, Harris notched a first place finish in the triple jump with a height of 15.15-meters besting the 20 other competitors in the field. He followed that with a second place finish out of 18 competitors in the high jump with a jump of 2.15-meters. His jump set a Saint Peter's indoor record for the high jump, while both his strong performances earned him IC4A qualifying marks for both events.
Marten competed in two events in the NYU Saturday Night Shootout at the New Balance Armory Track & Field Center, finishing first in the long jump ahead of 24 other competitors with a mark of 5.82 meters qualifying her for the ECAC Championships. Marten then followed that performance with a second place finish in the triple jump with a 11.51 meter mark.
The 2014 MAAC Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held on Friday, February 21st at the New Balance Armory Track & Field Center in NYC.
