EDISON, N.J. – Freshman goalkeeper Eric Klenofsky of Monmouth University is the 2013 NCAA Division I statistical champion for goals-against average.  The first-year goalie was a All-MAAC second team selection while spearheading the Monmouth defense, which allowed just 0.22 goals per 90 minutes. Klenofsky was also second nationally with .914 save percentage.

Klenofsky was a four-time recipient of the MAAC’s “Defensive Player of the Week” honors. He moved into the Hawks’ starting lineup when MAAC play began, and posted a 7-1-4 record as a starter, which included nine shutouts.

Klenofky guided the Hawks to a share of the MAAC’s regular season title, and to the conference championship game.
