Edison, NJ - The 2014 MAAC Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships return  to the New Balance Track & Field Center at the Armory in New York City on Friday, February 21. The Championships will be co-hosted by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and Manhattan College. For the second year in a row, the championship will be available live on MAAC.TV. New this year, the championship will be streamed in High-Definition.

This year marks the first year that the championship will be streamed in HD for fans, giving them access to watch the championships on their mobile devices through the MAAC App. The MAAC App is available in the iTunes Store. Fans can purchase a one-time event package for $7.95 to watch the entire live broadcast of the Championships. The broadcast is set to start at 3:30 p.m.

Jack McDonald, Athletic Director of Quinnipiac University and the MAAC’s chair of the Indoor Track & Field Committee noted, “On behalf of all the MAAC student-athletes, coaches and families we are thrilled that the MAAC and the New York Armory will provide MAAC track & field fans around the world a video stream of the entire MAAC Indoor Championships.”

The meet begins at 3:45 p.m. with the women’s weight throw in the cage followed by the women's 5,000-meters on the track at 4:00 p.m.

Last season, the Manhattan College men's team claimed its 18th consecutive MAAC Indoor Track & Field Championship title, maintaining their status as the only current league member to take home the championship trophy. Former member Army won the first two men's championships in 1989 and 1990.

On the women's side, Saint Peter's University won its third team title last year, narrowly edging the Broncs by 21 points. The Peacocks are looking to claim another championship and continue their Track and Field streak. Saint Peter’s is the only other school besides Manhattan to repeat as champions since Army from 1989-90.

Spectator entry to The Armory is $15 per adult and $10 per student with a valid student ID. Heat sheets and live results will be available courtesy of ArmoryTrack.com for fans and spectators.
