Lori Anctil Named Siena'a Associate Director of Athletics/Senior Woman Administrator

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y.- Lori Anctil is Siena's new associate director of athletics/senior woman administrator. Anctil had served as assistant athletic director for development at Siena since March of 2007. She replaces Joyce Eggleston who retired after 35 years of service to the College.
"Lori has experience in athletic administration on many different levels and in different areas," director of athletics John D'Argenio said. "Her diverse and progressive experience in college athletics provides her the skills to make a strong contribution as a senior athletic administrator. She knows our student athletes, which will be an asset when it comes to developing and implementing programs that will make them better."
Anctil will oversee Siena's compliance and student services departments, including: academic advising, student engagement and life skills. As the department's chief compliance officer, she will be charged with monitoring NCAA rules and regulations regarding eligibility, practice and playing seasons, financial aid and recruitment of student athletes.
In her previous role, Anctil managed the Saints Alive! athletic giving fund which raised over $500,000 annually for the benefit of Siena's student athletes. She also managed the athletic department's key fundraising events, solicited gifts for the College's capital campaign project and established various outreach initiatives.
Anctil served as academic advisor/assistant compliance officer at Siena from August of 1999 through June of 2001, and then worked as director of basketball operations under Louis Orr at Seton Hall from June of 2001 until April of 2006. Her previous experience has provided her valuable experience in the student service areas she will oversee and in athletic administration.

"I look forward to utilizing my background in athletics and experience at Siena to assist our student athletes and coaches as we reach new heights academically and athletically."
Anctil's existing relationships with key Siena and MAAC personnel will also help ease her transition to this critical new role.
Anctil obtained both her bachelor's (legal studies) and master's degrees (higher education administration) from the University at Buffalo, where she was a four-year standout on the Bulls' women's soccer team. Upon graduation, she played soccer professionally for the Long Island Lady Rough Riders.
Anctil and her husband Nate live in Slingerlands with their daughter Madilyn, born April 9, 2013.
