Ike Azotam – Men’s Basketball – Quinnipiac University

Ike Azotam collected his 37th and 38th career double-doubles last week, which also served as his 12th and 13th of the season – a figure that far and away leads the MAAC. The senior forward averaged 19.5 points and 14.5 rebounds in two games for the Bobcats last week. Azotam finished with 18 points, 16 rebounds and one block at Iona, where he went 5-of-11 from the field and 8-of-9 from the free-throw line. Azotam eclipsed the 20-point plateau for the 15th time in his career, finishing with 21 points and 12 rebounds as the Bobcats topped Manhattan at Draddy Gymnasium. Azotam went 8-of-17 from the field in 37 minutes of action. Azotam also added an assist and a steal to his stat line for the week.
Chanel Johnson – Women’s Basketball - Niagara University

Chanel Johnson has taken ownership of the leadership role on the Purple Eagles that comes with being the team’s only senior. While she has been a solid presence for the last three seasons, she has taken it to the next level in 2013-14 season. She has already set a career-bests with 210 points and is on pace to shatter her career-highs with a 41.7 percent field goal percentage, an 84.0 percent free-throw percentage, and 5.9 rpg so far this season. The Plainfield, N.J. native has led the team in scoring in eight games this season, with a season-high 20-point outing against Robert Morris. She is second on the team in both overall scoring with 12.4 ppg and in conference scoring with 13.5 ppg.
