Manhattan To Host Rider In ESPNU Contest On Jan. 24

EDISON, N.J. – The Rider University men’s basketball game at Manhattan College scheduled for Friday, Jan. 24, will be broadcast live on ESPNU, it was announced today. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
Also on Jan. 24, Quinnipiac University will visit Iona College, which will be broadcast live on ESPN3. Game time for the Bobcats at the Gaels has been moved from 9 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Rider at Manhattan game will feature two of the top scoring teams in the MAAC. Rider is currently No. 3 overall in scoring, averaging 78.2 points per game, while Manhattan is No. 4, averaging 77.9 points per outing. Manhattan is currently 11-2 overall and 4-0 in MAAC play, and is riding an 11-game win streak. Rider is off to a 7-6 start and is 3-1 in league action.
Iona currently leads the MAAC in scoring, averaging 83.1 points per outing, and is unbeaten in league play with a 3-0 record, and 6-6 overall. Quinnipiac, in its first year in the MAAC, is off to a 7-5 start overall and 2-1 in league play. The Bobcats average 77.3 points our game, and are the top rebounding team in the league, pulling down 46.3 caroms per contest.
