Iona College sophomore guard A.J. English has helped the Gaels to an early 3-1 mark this season in conference play. Overall, English has started 13 games for the Maroon & Gold and is averaging 16.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and a team best 4.3 assists per game in the 2013-14 season. English has eclipsed the 20 point mark four times this season, including a 30 career high 30 points at Dayton. From the outside, English has connected on 36 three pointers. In conference play, he is averaging 18.5 points and 6.0 assists per contest.
Margaret Osmulski – Swimming and Diving – Fairfield University
Sr. – Free, Breast, IM - Rumson, N.J/Rumson-Fair Haven Regional
Over the last four seasons, the team captain has competed in every possible swimming event for the Stags. Osmulski holds the program records for the 200m IM, 200y IM, and 400y IM and is a part of four relay records. The last two years, Osmulski has been the head coordinator of the Fairfield University Swim Lessons Program. Since taking over the program, she has helped the enrollment quadruple to more than 100 swimmers per semester. All proceeds from the Fairfield Swim Lessons Program go to fund the Stags’ winter training trip. This year’s training trip was to Puerto Rico. In the classroom, Osmulski is a mechanical engineering major with a minor in mathematics. She has a 3.52 GPA, is a Dean’s List selection and is a member of the University's Honors Program.
