Connor Preece, Marist, Men's Soccer, M/F, Jr., 6-1 Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa
Connor Preece has been one of the driving forces behind Marist men's soccer's 5-3-3 start to the season. He is one of five Red Foxes to start all 11 matches this year, and he has provided stability from the center back position, as he has helped the Red Foxes record five shutouts. He also scored a goal in Marist's conference opener, a 2-0 triumph over Manhattan. A 2013 MAAC All-Academic Team selection, Preece is a Business Administration major and Co-President of Marist's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Aislinn McIlvenny, Manhattan, Women’s Soccer, M/F, Sr., 5-7, Pleasant Valley, N.Y./Arlington
McIlvenny was selected as one of the Top 30 candidates for the Senior CLASS Award. She’s been named to the All-MAAC Second Team in each of the past two seasons, and she also earned places on both the MAAC All-Academic Team and CoSIDA Academic All-District I First Team in 2013.
A Preseason First Team All-MAAC selection, she currently leads the league in scoring with eight goals and 18 points. McIlvenny was named MAAC Player of the Week on Aug. 25 after notching a goal and an assist in the Jaspers’ first two games of the season. She has scored four game-winners this season, including an overtime winner at Yale on Sept. 14. McIlvenny also scored the only goal of the game in 1-0 victories over Lafayette and NJIT.
