Baxter, Grace, Monteleone & Beers with Weekly Awards

Edison, NJ - Niagara University's Shane Baxter was named the MAAC Men's Swimmer of the Week, while Siena College’s Megan Grace earned the award on the Women's side. Niagara University's Ryan Monteleone and Siena College’s Hailey Beers were chosen as the Men’s and Women's Divers of the Week.
Shane Baxter a senior from Niagara University is the MAAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week. He led the way for the purple eagles at the Northeast Catholic Invitational with three individual titles. Baxter took first place in the 200 individual medley, the 100 backstroke, and the 200 backstroke. In the 200 individual medley Baxter finished with a time of 1:57.22, while in the 100 backstroke he finished in 51.67. 1:55.64 was his first place time in the 200 backstroke.
The MAAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week is Megan Grace a junior from Siena College. Grace had a great first meet at the New England Catholic Invite. She finished second for the saints in the 500 free with a time of 5:19.78. She also contributed as part of the 400-medley relay during both days of the event. She helped the team place ninth out of 19 teams in the first day and seventh out of 18 teams in the final day.
Ryan Monteleone a freshman from Niagara University is the MAAC Men’s Diver of the week. He had one individual title and a second place finish at the North East Catholic Invitational for the purple eagles diving team. He took the top spot in the 3 meter diving event with a score of 248. In the 1 meter diving event Monteleone had a second place score of 260.25.
Hailey Beers a junior from Siena College and she is the MAAC Women’s Diver of the Week. Beers began the 2014-15 campaign strong in the New England Catholic Invite. She finished fifth of 11 divers in the 3 meter scoring a 182.65, and sixth out of fifteen divers in the 1 meter dive with a score of 174.80.
