EDISON, N.J. – Siena College freshman forward Alexander Tejera was one of two student-athletes named Division I men’s soccer “Co-Rookie of the Week” by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC). This is the seventh time this season a MAAC men’s soccer player has been named an ECAC weekly award honoree.
Tejera, who was selected by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) as its Rookie of the Week, posted four points on two goals and added a game-winning goal as the Saints posted road wins at Niagara and Manhattan last week. He tallied his first collegiate multi-goal game against Manhattan and scored the game-winning goal in the Saints 2-1 win at Niagara.
Tejera shares the ECAC honor with Joe Vyner of James Madison University.
