McGuinness, Coffey, and Theiller Named ECAC Volleyball Players of the Week

EDISON, N.J. - Manhattan's Malia McGuinness and Fairfield's Camille Coffey and Megan Theiller have been named Corvias ECAC Volleyball Weekly Award Winners.

McGuinness averaged 4.91 kills and 4.91 digs per set while hitting .386 last week as the Jaspers went 3-0. The Kailua, Hawaii native notched a match-high 13 kills while hitting .524 in a 3-0 win over FDU. She then followed up with a pair of double-doubles in 3-1 wins over Niagara and Canisius. In the four-set victory over Niagara, McGinness posted 17 kills and 23 digs and then 24 kills and 23 digs in the 3-1 win over Canisius. The senior outside hitter totaled 54 kills, 54 digs, two service aces and two blocks on the week.

Coffey collected a pair of 21-dig performances in a 2-0 week for the Stags. The senior libero had just one reception error in 69 chances, for a .986 receiving percentage. Coffey averaged 6.0 digs per set through seven sets last week.

Theiller helped the Stags to a 2-0 week after recording 30 kills and 19 digs last week. The rookie tallied nine kills for a .727 hitting percentage in a 3-0 win over Rider and an impressive 21 kills for .318 in a 3-1 victory over Saint Peter’s. Theiller recorded a double-double by adding 10 digs against the Peacocks.
