Gilbert Kirui Earns Runner of the Week for ECAC

Gilbert Kirui of Iona College was named Corvias ECAC Division I Men’s Cross Country Co-Runner of the Week with Brian Doyle of Providence College.
In his Maroon & Gold debut, freshman Gilbert Kirui led the No. 13 ranked Iona College men's cross country team to a third place team finish at the 2014 Panorama Farms Virginia Invitational. Kirui finished second overall just 2.5 seconds behind the race winner from Auburn. He completed the 8k course with a time of 23:54.5.
