NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - On September 21, The Iona Cross Country and Track teams participating as volunteers at the Paine to Pain marathon. Some of the roles of the volunteers included working water stops, directing runners, stopping traffic, and cheering runners and walkers. A portion of the proceeds are used to maintain the leatherstocking trail which travels through multiple towns in Westchester county. The trail is utilized by a large quantity of walkers, runners, and bikers in the Westchester area.
