Iona's Men's Cross Country Moves Up to the No. 5 Spot in the National Coaches Poll

Edison, N.J. – The Iona Gaels have climbed the rankings once again, reaching a top five spot in the national polls, currently ranked No. 5 nationally in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association National Coaches’ Poll. The Gaels move up nine spots from last week’s rankings, the second highest jump in the rankings this week.
The Gaels, who has been ranked among the top teams in the region, currently sit as the No.2 team in the northeast region by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association trailing only Syracuse. The Iona Gaels men’s cross country team has won 23 consecutive MAAC cross country championships.

The 2014 MAAC Cross Country Championships will be held on Friday, October 31st at Holmdel Park in Holmdel, N.J.
