Fairfield
On October 10, member of the cross country team visited the Early Learning Center to help instruct gym class for 2 groups of 10 kids.
Iona
On September 21, The Iona Cross Country and Track teams participating as volunteers at the Paine to Pain marathon. Some of the roles of the volunteers included working water stops, directing runners, stopping traffic, and cheering runners and walkers. A portion of the proceeds are used to maintain the leatherstocking trail which travels through multiple towns in Westchester county. The trail is utilized by a large quantity of walkers, runners, and bikers in the Westchester area.
Marist
The Hatboro-Horsham and Marist communities came together to honor Coombs, who died in a car crash in 2011, at the third Edward Taylor Coombs Lacrosse Fall Ball Shootout. The two-day event featured the Marist men’s and women’s teams as well as teams from the DII and DIII level. All proceeds from the event benefited the Edward Taylor Coombs Foundation.
Quinnipiac
The Quinnipiac women's volleyball team continues to give back to the community by visiting the Northbridge Health Care Center down in Bridgeport, Conn. The Bobcat squad helped out by socializing with the people there while also helping the Northbridge staff behind the scenes. The team helped prepare meals and drinks even provided transportation to the people in need. Some of the players also painted nails for some of the ladies in the midst of conversation.

Iona
For numerous years, the Iona College Swimming and Diving team has been assisting with the Westchester Trialthalon sponsored by Jarden. It occurs annually on a Sunday in September. The team rises at the crack of dawn to make it out on the course before the participants. Those who are lifeguard certified assist with the swim potion of the triathalon while the other members of the team are placed on the course for the bike portion.
Marist
The Northeast Classic – Face Off Against Cancer (October 11th and 12th). The Marist Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse teams participated in this annual tournament to raise money for cancer research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. The women’s tournament took place on Saturday and all proceeds went to Dana-Farber’s Patient and Family Services Program while the men’s tournament was held on Sunday with all proceeds going to Dr. Mary-Ellen Taplin’s Research in Genitourinary Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
