NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - On Wednesday October 8, the Iona College Volleyball, Men's and Women's Basketball teams walked on behalf of those who have been impacted by leukemia and lymphoma at the Light the Night Walk. Each team member made a donation to the cause before the event began. It was a memorable experience walking around Mazzella Field holding different colored balloons honoring those who have survived, those who are currently fighting, and those who have passed. Very fittingly, the teams walked through the bagpipe band during our journey while they played familiar tunes heard around campus. It was a night of celebration, remembrance, and honor. "It was very nice to see the Men's and Women's Basketball teams also partaking in this event. Athletics was well represented and it was awesome to see multiple teams walking for a great cause," said Iona Volleyball junior Natalie Ziskin.
