Wilson Offensive Player of the Week

Cassidy Boegel, Fairfield   

So., F, 5-10, Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury  

Sophomore Cassidy Boegel led the Stags in a 2-0 week by scoring a team-high three goals on six shots against Quinnipiac and Marist. In the win against the Bobcats, Boegel notched her first career multi-goal match by scoring the game-winning goal in the 39th minute and an insurance goal in the second half. Boegel would get back on the scoreboard in the 4-0 win against Marist by heading in a corner kick in the 75th minute.

Wilson Defensive Player of the Week

Bethany-May Howard, Rider

So., GK, 5-7, Glastonbury, England/Bridgewater College

Goalkeeper Bethany-May Howard led Rider to a 2-0 shutout win over Iona on October 4. Howard made five saves in goal while playing all 90 minutes in the match. On the season, she has played all but six minutes and has led Rider to three shutouts. This is the second time this year that Howard has earned the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Wilson Rookie of the Week

Rachelle Ross, Monmouth 

Fr., F, 5-8, Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape

Ross registered her second career four-point game with her goal and two assists in Monmouth’s 8-0 win over Saint Peter’s. Ross, who started both matches on MU’s 2-0 week, was one of five Hawks to record four points on the week. Ross increased her team-leading point total to 15 points on a team-best six goals and three assists. Ross also added a shot against Niagara.
