Player of the Week
Catrina Warren, Iona

Senior Catrina Warren led the Gaels with 34 kills, 42 digs, 12 blocks, eight assists and five aces in two matches on the road. Warren averaged 3.4 kills, 4.2 digs, 1.2 blocks and 0.5 aces in 10 sets played. She recorded back-to-back double-doubles including her second career 20+ kills, 20+ dig effort at Rider with 20 kills and a career-best 27 digs. With 27.5 total points, she set a new career-high and recorded 20 or more points for the 16th time in her career. Warren hit .181 for the week on 116 attack attempts.

Bobbi Lin Kalama, Siena

Kalama averaged 5.71 digs per set as the Saints posted key road victories at Fairfield and Quinnipiac. Kalama posted a match-high 21 digs in Siena’s four-set win at two-time defending MAAC Champion Fairfield Saturday, keying a stout Siena defense that out-dug the Stags 76-60 and was the clear difference in the match. She followed that effort up with one of her top performances of the season, registering a match-high 19 digs in a sweep of Quinnipiac and average of 6.3 digs per set. With the third set tied at 14-14, Kalama served four straight points, including two aces, helping Siena close out the match with a narrow 25-23 victory.
Rookie of the Week
Emma Aldaya, Rider
Fr., L, 5-2, Prospect Park, Pa./Merion Mercy Academy
Aldaya helped Rider to improve to 5-0 in the MAAC for the first time ever by averaging an even 6.00 digs per set as Rider defeated Manhattan 3-2 on October 4 and Iona 3-2 on October 5. Against the Jaspers, Aldaya registered 24 digs. Against Iona, she compiled 36 digs as Rider rallied from a 2-1 deficit, in which Aldaya had six digs in the fourth set and eight digs in the fifth and deciding set. Aldaya also had three service aces against Iona. For the season, Rider has won six matches in a row and the Broncs are the last remaining unbeaten team in conference play.
