Miller and Clarke Earn Runner of the Week Honors

Edison, N.J. - Iona College’s Chartt Miller and Rosie Clarke were named the MAAC Cross Country Runners of the Week.
Iona College red shirt freshman Chartt Miller finished third individually to lead the Gaels to a fifth place team finish at the 2014 Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University. Miller finished the 8k course with a time of 23:46. He was 18 seconds behind the race winner, American International's Mike Biwott. In his Maroon & Gold cross country debut competed against 359 runners among 42 teams in the event.
Iona College women's cross country newcomer Rosie Clarke finished fourth individually to lead the Gaels to a seventh place team finish at the 2014 Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University. In her Maroon & Gold debut, Clarke finished the 6k course with a time of 19:59, 10 seconds behind the race winner, Florida State's Colleen Quigley. She competed in a field of 329 runners and 38 teams in Bethlehem, PA.
The 2014 MAAC Cross Country Championships will be held on Friday, October 31st at Homldel Park, Holmdel N.J.
