EDISON, N.J. – Marist College freshman goalkeeper Mark Rajovic was one of two student-athletes named Division I men’s soccer “Co-Rookie of the Week” by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC). This is the sixth time this season a MAAC player has been named an ECAC weekly award honoree.
Rajovic, who was selected by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) as its Defensive Player of the Week, posted a 1-0-1 record with a 0.00 goals against average, 1.000 save percentage and eight saves last week for the Red Foxes. He made six saves in Wednesday’s 2-0 shutout win over Manhattan College to begin conference play and added a pair of saves in Saturday’s 1-1 tie to Fairfield University. The freshman keeper kept his opponents off the scoreboard logging 200 minutes this past week.
Rojovic shares the ECAC honor with Matt Danilack of Dartmouth College.
