Fairfield
The Fairfield University men’s lacrosse team participated in the town-wide Fairfield Day of Service sponsored by the First Church Congregational on September 21. The Stags spent the day demolishing the interior of a building which will be renovated into transitional homes for families by Operation Hope.
Marist
On Friday, September 12th, Marist College football student-athletes volunteered at the annual Dutchess ARC Picnic, a non-profit agency that has been serving children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families. The student-athletes served food and then were able to spend time socializing with the guests at the event.
Quinnipiac
The Quinnipiac women's basketball team enjoyed a visit to the Connecticut Food Bank in East Haven on Wednesday afternoon, as three members of the team (two players, one staff member) made the trip to help supply food all throughout the state in conjunction with Quinnipiac's Positive Play initiative.
Rider
For the third year in a row, the Rider University men's and women's swimmers participated in the annual '1500 Meters for Mike', an open water swim in Belmar, New Jersey to assist 2009 TCNJ graduate Michael Heaney's family.
