Field Hockey Regular Season Ready to Wrap Up

EDISON, N.J. – The field hockey teams of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference are set finish up the 2014 regular season tomorrow.

The MAAC field hockey conference schedule finishes up on Sunday, November 2 as four teams have locked up their spot in the MAAC championship. Monmouth, Quinnipiac, Rider and Sacred Heart have secured their spot in the championship with seeding still yet to be determined. Four teams are left to finish out their league schedule on Sunday. Tomorrow, Rider hosts Siena in a bid to lock up the number one seed and host the 2014 MAAC championship. Monmouth will host Bryant at 1:00pm, with a win giving the Hawks an opportunity for the number one overall seed and a chance to be named regular season champions. Also during the day, Quinnipiac will travel to Villanova to finish their portion of the regular season.

Conference play culminates with the MAAC field hockey championship taking place November 7 and November 9. The championship will be hosted by the highest seeded full MAAC member school.
