Schoenfeld Finishes Hawks Career with ECAC Field Hockey Award

EDISON, N.J. – Monmouth University senior forward Amanda Schoenfeld was one of three student-athletes named Division I field hockey “Co-Offensive Players of the Week” by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC). This is the second time this season a MAAC player has been named an ECAC weekly award honoree.


Schoenfeld, began her week by scoring a goal in Monmouth’s 2-1 win over Sacred Heart to lead the Monmouth Hawks to the MAAC Championship game. In the finals, Schoenfeld netted three goals and added an assist in a 6-1 victory over Rider to earn Monmouth their first MAAC championship and first NCAA tournament berth. 

Schoenfeld shares the ECAC honor with Marissa Balleza of Harvard University and Paula Heuser at the University of Albany.
