Dom Sarle, Monmouth, Men's Soccer, Forward, Sr., 5-9, Huntington, N.Y.
Sarle finished the season with a team-high six goals and 17 points, while placing second on the team with five assists. Four of his goals were game winners, helping Monmouth defeat UMass Lowell, Holy Cross, Rutgers and Rider. He made a memorable Monmouth debut with two goals and an assist against UMass Lowell, while also helping the Hawks to their first-ever win over intrastate foe Rutgers with a goal and an assist. Sarle’s game-winning goal against Rider helped a Monmouth team that had been scoreless in its prior four games get back on track, scoring in every game the rest of the way en route to the MAAC Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance. Sarle has maintained a 3.30 GPA as a physical education major.
Madeline Blais, Marist, Women’s Basketball, Forward/Guard, Jr., 6-1, Exeter, N.H.
Blais, a 2014-14 All-MAAC First Team and 2013-14 All-MAAC Academic team selection, has gotten off to a fast start for the Red Foxes. Averaging 19.5 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per game Blais has been a go to player and key contributor for the team. In the season opener against Delaware, Blais recorded a team high 26 points and totaled 7 rebounds. Against Northeastern Blais went 6-6 from the free throw line and recorded 13 points and 6 rebounds. Blais is a perfect 10-10 from the free throw line on the season.
