Player of the Week
Hadley Orr, Fairfield
Jr., OH, 6-0, Forest, Ind./Clinton Central
Hadley Orr was the offensive force behind Fairfield’s 2-0 week. The junior recorded two double-doubles, and averaged 3.5 kills per set and 2.62 digs per frame while hitting .268. Orr tied a career-high with 16 kills against Quinnipiac to go along with three block assist, two aces, and 10 digs. In the final set, Orr recorded more kills (nine) than the entire Quinnipiac team (seven). In the road win against Siena, Orr notched 12 kills and 11 digs with two block assists.
Libero of the Week
Emily Litwin, Canisius
Sr., L, 5-7, Williamsville, N.Y./Binghamton
Litwin averaged 8.00 digs per set in two matches last weekend. The senior libero had 32 digs in the four-set match at Rider and followed that up with 24 digs in the sweep at Saint Peter’s. Litwin also posted a 97.3 service reception percentage in the two matches, including a 34-for-34 effort against the Peacocks. Litwin also moved into fifth place on the career digs list with 1,188 career digs in three years.
Rookie of the Week
Megan Theiller, Fairfield
Fr., OH, 5-10, Hopewell Junction, N.Y./John Jay-East Fishkill
Theiller continued to impress this weekend, hitting .246 with 2.75 kills per set and 1.75 digs per frame. Theiller recorded 14 kills and a .275 hitting percentage in the road win against Siena while contributing two solo blocks which was a career-high. Theiller was also a perfect 51-51 in receiving serves.
