Fairfield
On November 19th, Fairfield Athletics staff, alumni, fans, and friends of basketball came together to recognize the service to local community by three individuals who have made service a part of their lives. John Starks, Christopher "Mad Dog" Russo, and Chris Elsberry were honored for their service to the community at the Stags Service Awards dinner.
Iona
On November 24, Iona College student-athletes, coaches, and administrators participated in a Thanksgiving Drive in conjunction with Iona Campus Mission and Ministry. Many of Iona's clubs, organizations, and employees participated in the event as well and were able to provide Thanksgiving meals for over 135 families in conjunction with three local organizations: Hope Community Services of New Rochelle, Greystone Foundation Child & Youth Services of Westchester County, and Abraham House of the Bronx. The Iona Athletics community was able to contribute baskets to 21 different families as part of this event.
Quinnipiac
Event: Hamden Middle School Math Night
On Nov. 05 the women’s golf team played math games with the students and handed out pizza while the parents participated in workshops.
Saint Peter’s
The golf team volunteered at the Campus Kitchen on December 2nd. Some of the team members prepared meals that were served at various shelters in the Jersey City area, while others moved and organized produce that will be used in future Campus Kitchen events.
Siena
The women’s basketball team conducted basketball drills with kids at the Troy Boys & Girls Club.
