Boyd Receives ECAC Honors

EDISON, N.J. – Senior Ben Boyd from Monmouth University has been named Corvias ECAC Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week in the Metro/Update region. This is the first week of awards for the ECAC this winter.
Boyd captured the first MAAC Indoor Track Performer of the Week Award of the season after he won the 300-meter dash at Sunday’s Princeton New Year’s Invitational. He defeated the 26-man field with a time of 35.40 seconds, clearing the second place finisher by .06 seconds. Along with his victory in the 300-meter dash, Boyd anchored his 4 x 400-meter relay team to a tune of 3:24.93, good for sixth place in the event.
