Iona At Rider On Feb. 21 ESPNU Selection

EDISON, N.J. – The Iona College men’s basketball game at Rider University, scheduled for Friday, Feb. 21, will be televised live on ESPNU. Game time at Alumni Gym is set for 8 p.m.
Also on Feb. 21, the Manhattan College men’s team will play at Siena at 7 p.m. That game will be broadcast on ESPN3.
The Gaels and Broncs will meet for the first time this season when they tangle on Feb. 21. It will be the 52nd meeting the series, with the Gaels holding a 28-23 edge. Iona is currently 12-8 overall and 9-2 in the MAAC, a half-game behind first place Canisius (10-2). Rider is currently 11-9 overall, and in tie for fourth place in the MAAC standings with Manhattan. Both sport 7-4 league records.
The Jaspers and the Saints will meet for the 89th time in their all-time series, with Manhattan holding a 49-39 edge. Manhattan, the No. 1 pick in the preseason coaches’ poll, is currently 14-6 overall and 7-4 and tied for fourth in the MAAC with Rider. Siena is currently 10-13 overall, and in sixth place in the MAAC with a 6-6 record. The Saints were picked to finish 10th in the 11-team MAAC in the Coaches’ Preseason Poll.
