Pires & Beers Named Corvias ECAC Men's & Women's Divers of the Week

Edison, N.J. – Fairfield University freshman Daniel Pires has been named Corvias ECAC Division I New England Men’s Diver of the Week, and sophomore Hailey Beers of Siena College has been named Corvias ECAC Division I Metro/Upstate Women’s Diver of the Week.
Daniel Pires, Fairfield, captured both the one-meter and three-meter boards for the Stags at their home meet against Iona on February 1. Pires placed first on the one-meter with a score of 255.45 and recorded a first place score of 266.00 on the three-meter board. This is the second time this season that Pires has been named Corvias ECAC Division I New England Men’s Diver of the Week.
In Siena’s meet this weekend, Beers continued to dominate the boards for the Saints. In only her second week diving this season, Beers won both the one-meter and three-meter diving events for the Saints. Beers won the one-meter dive with a score of 208.00 and continued her dominance on the three-meter board too, scoring a season high 242.20 to help the Saints sweep the boards.
