Manhattan Sweeps Outdoor Track & Field Performers of the Week

Edison, NJ – Manhattan College’s Love Litzell and Lydia Wehrli were named the MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Performers of the Week.

Manhattan’s Love Litzell qualified for the IC4A Championships in the hammer throw at the Shamrock Invitational on Thursday.  His effort of 61.18 meters (200 feet, nine inches) was good for second place overall and first among collegians.

Lydia Wehrli was second overall and first among collegiate competitors in the hammer throw at Coastal Carolina’s Shamrock Invitational on Friday.  Her best effort was 58.09 meters (190 feet, seven inches), which was just shy of her school record, as well as a qualifying mark for the ECAC Championships.

The MAAC Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held on May 3rd and 4th at Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
