Tesmond posted singles and doubles victories in the Stags’ 6-1 victory over MAAC preseason favorite Quinnipiac University on March 20. In the No. 1 spot, Tesmond defeated the Bobcats’ Kei Ezaka, 6-4, 6-2. Tesmond then teamed up with Cameron Amyot to edge Quinnipiac’s Eric Ambrosio and Luke Roser, 8-2, in the No. 1 doubles spot.
MAAC Women’s Player of the Week
Carly Holloway, Siena College
Sr., 5-7, Willoughby, Ohio/Willoughby South
Holloway keyed Siena’s MAAC win over Saint Peter’s with singles and doubles victories. She moved up to No. 2 in the rotation, and knocked off Ivana Grbelja in straight sets (6-2 and 6-2) after teaming with Allysa Singh for an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles. Holloway’s wins helped the Saints stay perfect in conference play (3-0).
