Dave Hoffman - Siena

The MAAC Player of the Week is Dave Hoffman of Siena. Hoffman batted .750 (6-for-8) with an .818 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage as Siena took two of three in a MAAC series at Marist. Hoffman played a key role in the series-opening 6-5 win, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. He scored the game-winning run after reaching via a base hit in the eighth, and singled in the ninth which led to a much-needed insurance run. In the middle game, he was 1-for-1 with a pair of walks in a 1-0 loss. Hoffman finished the series by going 2-for-3 with a walk and three RBI as the Saints won the rubber game 8-4. Hoffman had an RBI single that put the Saints up 2-0 in the fifth, and then delivered the decisive blow in the game – a two-run double in the sixth that put Siena up 7-0. Hoffman was also solid behind the plate, calling three starting pitching performances and recording 14 putouts and allowing just one stolen base.
Pitcher of the Week
Alex Godzak - Canisius

The MAAC Pitcher of the Week is Alex Godzak of Canisius. Godzak threw the first shutout of his career in a 10-0 victory over Manhattan in the middle game of the three-game sweep of the Jaspers. The 5-foot-10 southpaw scattered three hits and struck out four to improve to 4-2 on the season. The 2013 MAAC Rookie of the Year, Godzak allowed only three batters to reach scoring position in the game and retired 16 of the final 19 batters he faced.
Rookie of the Week
Ben Moller - Marist
Fr., IF, 6-0, 205, Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South
The MAAC Rookie of the Week is Ben Moller of Marist. Moller hit safely in all four of Marist’s games, and had multi-hit performances in three of Marist's four games. He batted .571 (8-for-14) with a .533 on-base percentage and a slugging percentage of .714. He also scored three runs and drove in four more. In a 9-0 mid-week road victory over Fordham, he went 2-for-5 with a run scored. Against Siena on March 29, he was 3-for-3 with two runs scored, two RBI, a triple and a sacrifice fly. In the first game of a doubleheader against Siena on March 31, he went 1-for-2 in Marist's 1-0 victory. In the second game, he was 2-for-4 with two RBI. Moller also handled all 10 of his fielding chances at third base (three putouts, seven assists) without committing an error.
